Description
Two-car stacker built on the Anvil Tough frame. 8.5 ft wide × 24 ft box with a 6 ft V-nose, 7 ft interior height and a full-width rear ramp with spring assist. Blackout package: black anodised trim, black wheels, blacked-out marker lights and matte-finish skin. Hydraulic upper deck with independent lift, LED interior lighting on two switched circuits, 50 amp shore power with breaker panel, and a finished ATP floor with six recessed D-rings.

Q32 / Q33 — Every inventory row is a unique physical unit (quantity always 1, has its own VIN and stock #) — not a model with a count. Fields are the agreed list plus photos. "Key options" is free text in v1; a structured option catalogue is a phase-2 item.

Requests you have made on Anvil stock inventory
How reservations work. Requesting a unit holds it immediately so no other dealer can request it. Your sales rep has 3 business days to approve or decline — after that the hold releases automatically. An approved reservation becomes an order right away, and expires after 14 days if it isn't confirmed.
Q4 / Q41 / Q42 / Q43 — Approved reservation auto-creates an order in status Order Confirmed linked to that unit. Pending requests expire after 3 business days; approved reservations after 14 days. Rejection requires a reason and it is shown to the dealer. Dealers can cancel their own pending or approved reservation, which returns the unit to Available and emails the rep.

Revising a Submitted Order
While the order is still in Submitted you can upload a revised spreadsheet. Every version is kept — nothing is overwritten — and Dave is emailed about the change. Once he confirms the order, uploads lock.
You can request cancellation at any time; it is automatic while still in Submitted, and needs Dave's approval after that.
Q28 / Q29 — Versioned re-upload while in Submitted, locked after rep acceptance; cancellation auto-approved in Submitted, rep-approved thereafter.

Q4 / Q14 — One unified Orders list holds both paths — orders created from an approved reservation (Stock) and orders created from a spreadsheet upload (Custom) — so status tracking works identically for both. Rachel sees all three locations; a branch-scoped user sees only their own.

Q48 / Q49 / Q50 / Q51 — Photos are optional at every stage, with a prompt shown to the rep. The dealer sees the full timeline with dates, notes and photos — the most visible value of the portal. Email goes out on Order Confirmed, Ready for Pickup, Delivered, On Hold and Cancelled only, with an opt-in for every step. A status can be moved backwards with a required reason, and it is audit-logged.

Photos from the line are up. One thing — the spreadsheet lists black wheels but the race package sheet you sent last month specified polished. Confirm which you want before we get to paint and it won't cost you any time.

Q21 / Q22 — Photo, name, title, direct line, mobile, email, office and region — all maintained by Anvil admins on the rep's user record, never by the dealer. If the rep changes, all open orders and reservations move to the new rep automatically, the dealer is emailed, and the assignment history is kept. Q22 answer: when a rep leaves, an Anvil admin reassigns their dealers manually rather than the system auto-distributing them.

Managed by AnvilQ15 / Q16 / Q17 — Dealer record: legal name, DBA, dealer code, tax ID, credit & freight terms, status, onboarded date, notes. Location record: name, is-primary, address, phone, email, contact person. Deleting a dealer is a soft delete only — orders and audit history must never be orphaned.

Manage who at Mid-State can use the portal, and what they can do
Q6 / Q14 / Q65 — Two things control what a user sees: their role (what actions they may take) and their scope (which locations those actions apply to). Every new dealer starts with the same three roles — Dealer Admin, Purchaser, Viewer. Q13: if Anvil deactivates the whole dealer account, every user below is blocked from signing in immediately; the data is retained.

Roles belong to Mid-State only — changes here affect no other dealer
Q66 / Q67 — Roles are stored per dealer, not company-wide, so Mid-State editing "Purchaser" cannot affect any other dealership. The three starter roles are copied into each new dealer at creation and evolve independently — later central changes do not propagate. The Dealer Admin role is locked so an admin cannot strip their own user-management rights or escalate privileges.

notifications.receive_all additionally get everything for the dealership. Everything here is also delivered as an in-app notification on the bell icon. No SMS in the MVP. Q59: outbound mail goes through SendGrid or Resend, with bounce logging and retry-with-backoff.
